human /
geographies

I am a Rhode Island-based amateur photographer interested in exploring human stories and spaces through images. The photographs on this site are a mixture of my street and travel work. These collections are not static: I post new work as I make it.

slow street
photography

I practice what I think of as slow street photography.

I continue to experiment with technique and restrictions as I go. My current approach, however, follows some general guidelines, including actually moving slowly through the city, embracing my subjectivity as a narrator, talking to people, and trying to come away from a photo session with one good image, instead of expecting to gather a whole clutch of brilliant photos every time I step out the door.
